THE FACES OF SITKA

With a roving backdrop and a camera, Hannah Guggenheim is creating a compelling collection of portraits in the small fishing village of Sitka, Alaska. She will document as many community members as she can possibly can, one image at a time.

With a focus on everyday people that make Sitka a special place, Hannah and her team will document people from all parts of life: grocery clerks, bus drivers, school teachers, fish plant workers, housewives, and you.

Every portrait will have hand written information about each person, along with a compelling quote addressing the meaning and value of life and their connection to community.

The images will be printed enmass, and placed in an inclusive community art show.
